Lots of glitches (running through walls, character background not transparent) and an extremely limited, linear game 'world'. You have at best three locations you can visit. The boss fights are without any depth. Overall a very poor experience. Don't even bother when it goes on sale.. Interesting little RPG. Not particularly challenging but has a few surprises.. Horrible RPG maker game. Lots of glitches (running through walls, character background not transparent) and an extremely limited, linear game 'world'. You have at best three locations you can visit. The boss fights are without any depth. Overall a very poor experience. Don't even bother when it goes on sale.. Vagrant Hearts is an excellent turn-based RPG that I really enjoyed and highly recommend. This game has an excellent side view turn-based battle system, and a well written and interesting story. I found myself playing this game for many hours at a time enjoying the battle system and story. The game features 10 different playable characters (though only 9 will be selectable in the end), and a unique Crest System that allows you to customize 4 different spells per party member, in addition to their own built-in abilities.I was also happy to see that I could often repeat areas for battles, and in case I missed anything. The game has a large world to explore, though you are mostly limited where you can go for most of the game. Now, I would like to speak about the negatives. The RPG maker engine is old and tired. The limitations this engine has continues to disappoint me.You can not use the Steam Overlay with this game, which means no Screenshots, Broadcasting, or talking to your friends without using Alt-tab.The game also lacks seperate audio options for the sound effects and music for some reason, but this is a developer choice because I have played other RPG Maker games where this option was present. The lack of enemy variety is not impressive. I found all battle areas to only have one or two different enemy types at best, and once you know the best method to kill them, the battles will be very quick and painless. Most battles will be over in 1-2 hits, which leads to a lack of strategy. The music in this game is terrible, especially the default battle theme. I found every track to be far too loud and annoying, or just annoying. The sound effects on the other hand are very quiet and for the most part barely even there. The Crest System can be annoying, because this game likes to split party members often and if certain party members suddenly leave, they take the crests they have equipped with them. You can deal with this by saving and reloading often however.I really enjoyed my time with this game and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys these types of games, and expect some quality too. There are a lot of RPG Maker games that are terrible, but this is NOT one of them. This game is one of the few that shines above the rest.. In this game there are a few glitches here and there but the gameplay is amazing. I would rate it 8/10
